Hello and welcome!

You should be able to get the kernel sources from the CentOS repos. If you can't find what you want there, you can try a vanilla kernel from kernel.org
The best HowTo that I've found for working with kernels is this one:
Digital Hermit - Kernel-Build-HOWTOoz

The kernel source for CentOS is available on the CentOS web site, along with an extensive How-To to configure and build/install the kernel. It will take a bit of time to get it all set up, but once you do, it is quite simple. I had to build a semi-custom kernel for CentOS 5.5 because I needed to configure it with non-standard file system drivers (jfs, xfs, qnx4). However, that means when there is a kernel update, such as for security patches, then I will have to download the updated sources and rebuild the kernel again.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!
