Have wireless network, no internet
I am running Linux 9 on a laptop that previously had internet connectivity. Now, I am able to get on our wireless network without difficulty, but am denied internet access and cannot see other network computers (XP, macbook). May have unwittingly 'touched' something I shouldn't have. Not very Linux literate, and would appreciate some guidance.

You might think about trying the latest version of Fedora too, it's up to 13 now and should include a lot of improvements.

am I correct to assume that if I am connecting to the wireless router, then my wireless card is working properly?

Can you browse the internet? Sometimes you can connect to the router but the system doesn't get an IP address.

Seems to me, that card is supported.
What do you get from these commands?
Code:lsmod
Code:ifconfig

No, the nut of my problem is that I cannot browse the internet, but the wireless network connects without a hitch.
