    Problems With KNetworkManager

    hey everybody,
    i am trying to connect to the internet with an ethernet cord but knetworkmanager isn't being responsive.
    hovering over the icon tray tells me that it's 'unmanaged' (telling me it's disabled if i click on it), and running ifconfig gives the local loop but nothing for eth0....
    i'm not quite sure what to do, so any help would be cool.

    Which distribution+version of Red Hat are you running - RHEL/CentOS or Fedora?
