what is the best DNS server for linux
hi all,
Which DNS server is best to use for Linux, in term of security? Some say BIND 9 other say djbdns and there are others too. I have been asked to implement a DNS server on our network, but a secure one. There are different allegations about which DNS best to use?
Which one shall I go for, I am using Redhat RHEL5?
Thanks

All have their good and bad sides. I've been running bind for a number of years without issue. Bind might be best to understand the basic workings of DNS before you move onto other GUI based versions.

The version that redhat supports is Bind. If you are sticking to using RHEL5, may as well go with what they support.
