    Need help regarding user related logs

    Hi,
    In a network of 6 rhel 5.4 machine.. Someone fired restart command remotely to other machine. Is there any logs generate regarding this .. I mean how can I find that from which ip and which user has fired restart cmd on remote machine.

    Did you look in /var/log/messages?

    yes i checked in /var/log/messages ... those entires r not there...


    ok can we have script which creates a custom log for users loggin remotely and what ever they execute the command it gets feeded in that log along with date and time...
