    Red Hat command line for figuring out the version for .so files.

    can anyone know to findout the version of .so files in RedHat?

    it should list it in the filename. maybe check /usr/lib for the library your missing (or /usr/lib64 for 64 bit).

    I don't think version information is compiled into the file itself, just the name.

    I could be wrong though.
