Has anyone installed ISPConfig 3 with RHEL or Centos on a i386 system? I just keep finding the x64 version of guides but nothing on the i386. Feedback please....

    Has anyone installed ISPConfig 3 with RHEL or Centos on a i386 system?

    I just keep finding the x64 version of guides but nothing on the i386.

    I think you refer to this howto:

    Quickreading through the pages, I noticed:
    1) external x86_64 repositories will be included.
    On looking at the repos: they are also available as i386.
    So you are lucky here.
    2) some of the commands need to be altered for a i386 environment (for example lib64 -> lib)
    3) in the later part it asks for several tools to be compiled from source.
    Which to my understanding is a bit unclean for a server environment.
    Building these as RPM packages would be preferable.

    So, the guide is good.
    It can quite easy be translated to i386, but one would need a bit of experience and knowledge to overcome the little quirks, that will surely come up during the translation.
    You must always face the curtain with a bow.
