    Exclamation can i install GRUB in windows

    Whether it is possible to install GRUB in windows to boot.
    Because I have installed one of the linux distro on USB. Now without the USB i am not able to boot windows.

    Hi and Welcome !

    You have installed GRUB in MBR of Internal Hard disk but its conf files are in USB Disk.
    First of all, remove GRUB from Internal Hard disk. Boot up from Windows OS installation CD and select Repair. Execute fixmbr command at repair prompt. Windows OS will boot up by default on reboot.

    You have to re-install GRUB in USB disk. Does your machine support boot up from External disk/USB?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
