connection failure as normal user via puTTY and xmanager

Hi all,
am newbie to Linux.
i have to install app server on VM of Linux box.
am able to connect Linux box via puTTY and Xmanager as root user.
but am not able to connect as a normal user.
in Xmanager i see network error. In puTTY console gets disappear

You want to check and ensure that the user is or has access to the VM group.
