Problem with video
Hi everyone,
I had fedora 12 and I updated to fedora 13 three days back. I was trying to watch videos on Hulu and when I switch to full screen mode, the video is stuck and I can hear the audio running, its only the video which is stuck at that place. When i switch back to the normal mode the video is as usual.
Thanks

You probably need to update your video driver as well. What video chip set / board are you using?

I did update my system and I don't have anything to update.
I think some should help me in editing the xorg.conf file which is important for the graphics for a linux system
- 08-06-2010 #8
Backup existing xorg.conf file.
Create new file and copy following code :Code:su - cd /etc/X11 mv xorg.conf xorg.conf_bak
Code:Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "i810" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Configured Monitor" HorizSync 31.5 - 70.0 VertRefresh 50 - 160 EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Monitor "Configured Monitor" Device "Configured Video Device" DefaultDepth 24 Subsection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" EndSubsection EndSectionIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Hi,
I tried as you said and it wasn't booting up at all. It was stuck at the fedora symbol for hours and then restored the xorg.conf file back to original.

If i810 driver is not working, try "vesa" driver.
'vesa' driver is generic and works fine with most of Graphics Cards.Code:Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "vesa" EndSectionIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
