    RHEL 5.X License

    Hi,

I need to suggest one of my client for RHEL 5.x product licensing.
They are into commercial IT Product training and consulting.

As of my knowledge we do not require any updates or support for training and test lab purposes.

Do we need to still purchase the subscription option or else it is enough only if i buy the media kit

Note : GPL doesnt allow you to charge for the code, as of my knowledge.

    Regards,

    Prabhakar

You can charge money for GPL software.
Selling Free Software - GNU Project - Free Software Foundation (FSF)

If you don't need technical support or other benefits of a RHEL subscription, I would go with a RHEL clone like CentOS or Scientific Linux.
