    Welcome to the forums!

Yes, you can install Red Hat but keep in mind that it is subscription based, so if you don't want to buy it you can try CentOS which is the same thing, but without paid support and Red Hat branding/ logos.

    Hello

You can find more information that you'd probably care to read with a quick google search for CentOS:

    Google: CentOS

You'd need to take a look at it and make up your own mind about whether or not it would suit your purpose for it.

CentOS is the community (free) version of RHEL. It tracks changes to RHEL very closely (usually releasing within a couple of days) and is in wide use. I use it myself on my workstation/server. As for a laptop, that is another story. CentOS/RHEL do not support a lot of current laptop hardware very well. You would be better off installing a current laptop-friendly distribution such as Ubuntu, download and install a good virtual machine manager like Oracle/Sun's VirtualBox, and then run CentOS/RHEL in a virtual machine. That way, all the wireless, bluetooth, webcam, and other cruft on your laptop will work properly, yet you can still run RHEL/CentOS and prepare for your RHCE exams.

You need to use CD burning software, such as Nero, Alcohol, etc to burn the image to a CD. Then you can either run it as a live CD to test it out, or you can install the OS to your system.
