how to achieve a fullscreen mode
I have install fedora12 in a virtual machine (oracle VBox) in a windows vista host (I know aaarg) and i can't have a fullscreen mode for the fedora
I don't know, if it is cause additional features are needed for fedora or is something from the VBox and some additional features of it are needed or any special arrangment is needed into the operetional parameters of the VBox...
Thank you all on advance!

in order to interact with the "window" of the virtual machine (VM) you have to use the "Host" key;
by default this is the right Control / Ctrl key.
to make the VM window fill the screen, press simultaneously Ctrl and F
once the VM is using the whole screen, you can make it smaller again by pressing simultaneously Ctrl and F again. alternatively, you can access the "Machine" menu of the VM window and click "Fullscreen mode"; when in Fullscreen, the VM window menus are popping up when you go with the mouse cursor in the middle of the bottom of the screen.
the Machine menu also shows you some of the other use of the "Host" key.
then you are in fact talking about the resolution of the guest operating system.
this can be set in the guest OS (e.g., in Windows, right click on desktop choose Display Settings (XP) or Personalize => Display Settings. for Linux, different distributions handle this in different ways.
in order to be able to use the COMPLETE screen area and having a smooth display you need to install the VirtualBox Guest Additions, which comes with VirtualBox;
while in your guest OS / VM, simply press "host key" and D.
it is important to use the same version of Additions as the VirtualBox you have installed on your host, so don't download a version from the Internet.
