    Question VPN to redhat,can ping 8.8.8.8 can't open google.com

    my English is not good.

    Hope that experts can understand me

    my laptop win7 can vpn to a remote redhat.

    in cmd ,i can ping 8.8.8.8. but i can't open google.com in Chrome and i can open 66.249.89.104 in Chrome.

    my vpn is pptpd.

    i have set options.pptpd.

    ms-dns 8.8.4.4

    when i ssh to redhat , i can ping google.com in remote redhat

    when i vpn to redhat. i can't ping google.com in cmd(windows)


    help!

    Check to ensure the FORWARD is turn ON
    Check that your firewall allows packets from your VPN to pass.

    i am sure that FORWARD is ok


    firewall should be ok,too.Or i can't ping 8.8.8.8?


    i think there is something wrong with /etc/resolv.conf


    tonight i Check if resolv.conf is right or not

    after that
    i will continue to post
