Fedora 13 hangs frequently
Hi Fellow Forum Mates,
I seriously wonder if Its possible to describe my problems here. I have 1 fedora core 13 which hosted Postfix, Dovecot, Apache and Bind DNS server. It keeps hanging in a couple of days . I have tried to capture all the logs but didnt find anything in it . I am running the system on a IBM X3400 M3 hardware.
I have just got IBM to change the motherboard and can very easily rule out that it is a hardware issue.
Please assist anywhere possible.
Thanks,
Gabriel

Alright, too little information.
0. Is this system freshly installed? If not, did it run fine before?
1. Did the trouble start after some upgrade? After you installed something new?
2. Define "hangs". Is this a headless server? Can you log in over SSH? Can you attach a monitor and keyboard to it, can you log in?

The System is freshly Installed. With the /var/mails copied from an old suse server. I used to suspect that poptop was the one who caused the problem but I uninstalled it since.I wasnt sure if the problem is caused by some updates as I did update quite frequently
When I talk about hangs, the whole screen freezes, keyboard and mouse doesnt work. No responds on all NIC (no ping and all) I cant log in using SSH. I can only restart the server by doing a power cycle

Hi All,
I have a qurey.
My server just hanged again. I have another computer that was linked to the internet by the same network and during the cause of time. My network was disconnected (I somewhat lost 6 packets) . Could the network issue have been the cause for the server to hang ?
Thanks,
Gabriel

Well, I'm no fan of Fedora. Isn't it testing platform of Red Hat? As such, it's not best choice for a server.
