Hello and Welcome!
What steps have you taken or tried to get the installation started?
Normally you should find an installer program either on the desktop or in one of the system menus.
Did the installer start and then fail at some point? If so, could you provide some further details about any errors that may have come up?Jay

Hello and welcome to the forums!
Not certain, but it sounds like you've not burned the iso file to disk as an image. Check this HowTo for all the steps needed to get this done properly, then post back if you continue to have problems:

You may have burned it correctly but some file(s) might have become corrupted during the process. Sometimes, users error by extracting the iso file, then copying the resulting folder/files to the disk. However, that won't work. Also, be sure you don't make the disk bootable yourself because the iso burning process does the extraction and it makes the disk bootable automatically.

Random thought here...
Are you rebooting with the disk in the computer? Or are you inserting the disk and opening the files from your current OS?Jay

Most installs are menu driven, so you simply follow the prompts picking options as you go, and complete the install. You can, however, do your partitioning in advance if you wish, then you direct the installer to use the partitions that you've already created.
