Question “0A” character in file content

    Hi ,

i am new to Linux. I want to transfer a file from Mainframes to Linux.
I have “0A” character in file content. Linux treats it as Line feed character and created a new line in the place of “0A”.

    Your help is much appreciated.

    thanks in advance ,

    Regards,
    Mini

One assumes you are using FTP to transfer the file(s)? If so, change the transfer type in ftp to binary because it is being interpreted as a text file.

What do you mean by "Connect direct"?
