    Question render error detected

    Hi all,

    I'm using Fedora 12, also to new to Linux, recently while booting Fedora I've got the below message on the screen and the computer was not responding.

    render error detected
    EIR : 0x00000010
    [drm : i915_handle_error]

    Please help me.

    Assuming it was working ok, but recently started having this problem, I suspect that you are experiencing a hardware issue, probably in the video system. You need to get a diagnostics program from the vendor and test it out.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    Thank you very much Rubberman, I was trying to logon to system via SSH , but failed. I will try selfboot diagnostic programme to check my VGA card and come back to you.
