    detect memory

    dear all
i have installed centos 5.2 on a machine with 4 gb memory installed.
it does not show my memory and i have installed kernel-pae package on it.
after that i have two options during boot up, so when i select pae it shows my correct memory.
how i can use this mode as default?
any document or guide about this issue is appriciated!

vi /boot/grub/menu.lst and change the default setting to the kernel you would like to boot with.
    Thanks,
