    I recently just upgraded to Fedora 14, and everything is going very well so far. The only question I have is this: When I put in the "leaves" command, these are the packages that pop up.

    Code:
    compat-libgcc-296-2.96-143.i686
    compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-143.i686
    compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-68.i686
    libchamplain-0.6.1-4.fc14.i686
    libdwarf-0.20100629-1.fc14.i686
    libertas-usb8388-firmware-5.110.22.p23-4.fc13.noarch
    libgail-gnome-1.20.3-1.fc14.i686
    libiodbc-3.52.7-1.fc12.i686
    mysql-libs-5.1.51-2.fc14.i686
    postgresql-libs-8.4.5-1.fc14.i686

    I guess this code shows the packages that are not supported anymore by Fedora 14. I deleted 2 packages already that were marked for Fedora 13, and they had no dependencies. I guess my question is why is there some Fedora 14 packages that aren't supported? And should I remove all of these?

    If they work and/or you still need them, then keep them. The compat gcc and c++ packages are for support of older code that won't build with newer compiler tools. In this case, it is C++ v2.96 and v3.3 as well as the 2.96 compatibility library (libgcc-296) needed by the C++ v2.96 compiler.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
