I have found a hell of a lot of rpm's for my kernel.... kernel-debug kernel-debug-devel kernel-devel kernel-headers kernel-xen ... loads of them, what are they exactly?...

    I installed those two packages, now im getting a different error....

    it appears I allready have libgcc and libstdc++ installed...?

    yeh, i looked and have not a clue...

    man im starting to hate linux... all i want to do is make a file, its unbelivable

    anyone else have any ideas?

    As mentioned in your other thread.....you really should try a different distro. Unless you have a specific need for OEL, do yourself a big huge favor and try any of the top 10 distros on Distrowatch. More people use these distros and will be able to offer more solutions to the problems you may encounter, not so with OEL...very few people use that. Enterprise distros are notorious for having zero wireless support.

    I need OEL to configure Oracle ASM and RAC,

    This issue isnt even about there wirelesss, i simply want to compile a file, its pants
