Transferring data only 3mbps??
Hi guys,
I’m really new to linux, can anybody please guide me how to transfer data up to 1++mbps? Because almost all my transferring data can go max up to 3mbps only when using :
Fedora 11 – Kernel 2.6.30
Wireless N Gigabit Router – TL-WR1043ND
TL-WN821N v2 USB – linuxwireless driver
Western Digital World Edition 1T Gigabit
Is it need to modify at any place?

are you talking about over the internet or in your local network? If it is over the internet, the only way to increase the speed is to pay your ISP for a faster connection (or get a new ISP)
over the local network this should run at a much higher speed than 3mbps even over wireless, unless the connection quality is really poor, in this case check the router config and see if it set to operate in a dual band mode or not, because if you have wireless G level devices the network will run at that speed

Thanks for the replied.
This problem apply to local network. The config still use single band which is N only. Is it OS or the router itself need to be reconfigure?
