Fedora freezes with my aspire 5610 notebook
Hi All,
I need some hint about a new installation of Fedora 13 on an ASPIRE 5610 notebook hardware.
This machine is installed in dual boot, to keep windows until Linux is running fine.
As of now, Fedora is installed, and works. But it freezes very frequently.
When it freezes, every element on the screen (clock, videos, anything) are frozen, until I move the mouse or press the keyboard (like shift, or any others...)
Even, a remote SSH to that machine is frozen until mouse or key events.
This freeze frequency is higher when I use the wifi.
So, I suspected the driver, and disabled it (rmmod iwl3945). But no change.
I removed most of modules, from the kernel, but no change.
I changed the screen driver (change from intel to fbdev) no change
I tried to update anything about BIOS and IRQ setting. But no way. the BIOS V3.23 does not provide anything like that.
I used init 3, to stop X, and same behavior.
No relevant messages on /var/log/messages, neither in dmesg.
This strange behavior was detected on F11 and 12 also, on that hardware.
I tried to debug the kernel, to understand what is happening. But I don't know how to get that. May be a kernel expert could guide me to get any understanding on what is happening on that machine when it freezes.
On google or any others linux resources, ASPIRE 5610 seems to work fine for every one...
I don't know what to do next to resolve that issue.
Does anyone can provide such an idea to guide me in resolving this issue?
Does anyone found some equivalent issue?
I suspect Hardware issue, now, but why WXP is running fine?
Thanks in advance for your help
