Fedora 2 with AD
I am new to fedora and know a little bit about Linux, but I have a question. I want to have my fedora machine point to our AD to authenticate the user that ssh into the box. I was wondering if there was a rpm for that or would I need to configure something in the fedora box.

Authenticating linux users against AD seems to work in principle, although I have not done that myself yet.

However, fedora core 2 is a problem.
That has been released in May 2004 and is *way* deprecated.
You should consider an update to fedora 14, centos5.5 / redhat 5.5 or even redhat 6.Last edited by Irithori; 11-22-2010 at 05:14 PM.

As Irithori said, FC2 is WAYYYY out-of-date. Don't bother yourself with it. His other recommendations are valid, IMHO. CentOS is the community/free version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and FC13 is the current "stable" version of Fedora, though 14 was recently released. Red Hat has officially released RHEL 6, but that is so hot off the presses, that you can pretty much ignore it for about the next 6 months, when CentOS will release the community version without costing you a couple of limbs...

I know fedora 2 is way outdated, its just that I am doing this for a college competition. I got yum to finally work.
But now all I need to is to have it do as I said on the first post. I have a script that jails them to their home directories, and made ssh and ftp work on as well.
