Hi there,

I know restoring VGs from /etc/lvm/backup is simple and hassle-free. What if the configuration file is no longer there. How can I still restore my VG? It happened after I did a fresh installation of RHEL6 from a previously installed RHEL4. The first installation attempt failed halfway and I had to reboot. This must have corrupted and destroyed the configuration file of the VG.
My VG is created on an array of disks from a direct attached storage connected to the server.
