    vnc? VMware? fedora server.

    Hello,

I running 1 pc touchsmart IQ816 (windows7, standalone) and a sunfire server (fedora 14, standalone).

Because my touchsmart screen doesnt support dual screen input, i'm reaching my server true vnc. Is there a beter way (VMware?) to handle this problem?

    Im new in VMware:
Can a esxi server from vmware help me out in this situation?
Do some people have experience on this?
How do i have to set this up.. if this is a solution for me?

The goal!.. To reach my fedore server on my touchsmart screen (somthing better than a vnc server)??

Even running a virtual server on the remote system, you still need something like VNC to access it.

So, what do you mean by "better"? Since VNC is transmitting all screen information to your client, and all keyboard/mouse events back to the server, it can be slow. Usually I prefer to use something like a local X11 display server on the client, and connect via ssh with X11 forwarding enabled so that while the applications run on the server, the local machine is dealing with all the rendering, screen optimization, backing store, etc. Usually that is much more responsive.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
