KDE 3.5.4 is the default desktop for RHEL/CentOS 5. If it isn't installed on your system then you will need a current support contract with Red Hat to install it. What desktop does your system run?

Well, if you still have support from Red Hat, then you can use yum to install kde. If not, you can get the RPM's from one of the CentOS mirror sites. Go to www.centos.org - The Community ENTerprise Operating System
