hi there have downloaded fedora 14 live cd, attempting to install on IBM Netvista s42. When I boot from the 'welcome to fedora live dektop' screen menu i get the following error code "MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC". From reading the forums it appears i should update the bios,but it appears to have the latest update revision applied anyway. However others have mentioned i could boot with noapic. Could someone please explain how to get into the grub bootloader from the fedora live dektop screen, what command do i need to input etc, and once in grub what command do i need to input to use noapic. Or is there a better option? Sorry am a linux newbie, wasn't expecting to encounter this bios issue, trying to learn as fast as poss. Would really appreciate some help on this frustrating issue please.
