    Newbie problem

A friend has been persuaded to install RH on his laptop (and it works fine apart from) in a duel boot with WinXp (to experiment), he has a PC running XP. The laptop and PC are networked through a wireless network and only the PC is connected to the net via dial up. His laptop can see the PC and view the files, BUT it cannot access the Internet. It works fine while booted in XP. Is this a problem with the wireless network card? or could it be Samba?

I am sure there was answer to this a while ago but cannot find it in the forum.

    Any help?

    Thanks.

I've posted this in the network forum too.

nah you probably need to set the gateway IE: tell the box on the lan what the ip of the box that has the connx to the inet so that it can find it's way to the inet

the ip of the box on the lan not the public ip(wlan)
