    space issue need ideas...


    hello i have a space issue on my main hda and it's mounted at / so it's kind of important especially since i want to install more soft and there's only about 50mb left which is going to be vital soon maybe there are any ways to add a virtual dir in there or such to add space ? i have about 750gb mounted on LVM but in another place so i need some ideas if there are any ways out there to make some links or anything like that
    any sugjustions appreciated

    New hard drives are cheap these days.
    If you mean resizing EXT3, you would have to disable it's journal system first.

    (most of my stuff is USB hooked, I even use tape recorders)

    yeah new hdd is like my last option though because i don't wanna have like a day downtime just looks bad then would have to reinstall everything and all plus it's in a datacenter and all so would cost a bit work would probably cost more than the hdd in most cases heh
