    vsftpd ssl problem

    hi,

    i have a problem with vsftpd with ssl on a red hat box:

    rpm -qa|grep vsftpd
    vsftpd-2.0.5-16.el5_4.1

    FTP Client: Win FileZilla 3.2.7.1

    any help will be very welcome.

    Have you tried another client to see if the problem is possibly a configuration issue with FileZilla?

    Try the command line ftp and/or sftp client on Linux. If they connect without problem, then try IE on the Windows side:
    ftp :// username : passwd @ example.com (remove spaces)

    If that connects, then you can at least narrow it down to FileZilla. If IE doesn't connect as well, then possibly a Windows setting somewhere. You could try turning on different TLS versions in IE's advanced settings (scroll to bottom - not sure if this setting only works for IE or the entire system)
