    overwriting encrypted partition

Somehow my file encryption password changed so when I went to re-install Fedora it said SDA-2 will not be available during installation.

Is there a way to erase the whole disk including the ecrypted portion?

    Thanks

Boot from a live/rescue cd/dvd. Go to the command line and run this command:
    Code:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda
    fdisk /dev/sda
This will zero out the disc and then bring up fdisk so you can write a new partition table.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
