    Red hat Fedora

What is the difference between Redhat and Fedora? I Recently purchased a RH Linux training course from but I need to get a copy of Linux other than Ubuntu which is what I am currently running. I do have a Linux disk labeled Fedora, is it the same thing? Thanks.

The Red Hat website has a good comparison chart that can be found here:

    Red Hat or Fedora

If you are considering Red Hat, you might also want to take a look at CentOS and Scientific Linux.

I would suggest you to go for latest version of CentOS. Fedora is based on RH only but CentOS is a clone of RHEL. For RH Linux training, CentOS is much better than Fedora.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
