    hi all,
I'm completely new to Linux. and I'm trying to install 10g developer suite on Linux. version information of my Linux PC is something like this

    [fedora6-localhost ~]$ cat /etc/*-release
    Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)
    Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)
    Fedora release 14 (Laughlin)

    [fedora6-localhost ~]$ cat /proc/version
    Linux version 2.6.35.6-45.fc14.i686 (gcc version 4.5.1 20100924 (Red Hat 4.5.1-4) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Mon Oct 18 23:56:17 UTC 2010

is this version supported for 10g developer suite. if it is supported then where to start and how to start???

Check with the Oracle web site. Fedora 14 is pretty darned new, so 10g may not work with this kernel. I'm running 11g on CentOS 5 and will be installing it soon on SL6 (RHEL 6).
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
