I have Red-Hat 5.6 , bind package and chroot installed, but i did not find the file named.conf in /etc !!!
Can you help ?...

Can not find the named.conf
I have Red-Hat 5.6 , bind package and chroot installed, but i did not find the file named.conf in /etc !!!
Can you help ?

Well, mine is /etc/named.conf - if yours isn't there, then perhaps your bind package installation failed. Make sure you have bind, bind-libs, and bind-utils installed. I assume you have bind-chroot installed as well?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

try typing /#find -name named.conf
else it should be in ./var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf

find / -name 'named.conf'
or
whereis named.conf
