    LDAP questions for CentOS

I'm wanting to use LDAP to authenticate users. I have a CentOS VPS. What I'm wanting to know is if it is normal practice to put an LDAP directory/server on the same machine with the web server. It maybe be a dumb question, but I would hate to get this started and have to change it up later.

Also, does anyone know of a installation guide for CentOS. I found on for RedHat, but didn't know if it was exactly the same.

    Thanks

Running the LDAP server on the same system as your web server should not be a problem As for documentation, CentOS IS RHEL, just with the logos and graphics changed. Same source code, same kernel, etc.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
