gzip: docmgr-1.0.tar.gz: not in gzip format
Hellooo
I have downloaded docmgr-1.0.tar.gz from sourceforge.net but I can not extract it.
When I use gunzip I get:
On another thread in this forum someone had the same problem but the suggestions provided did not work for me. For example I renamed the file to .tar but that it didn't make any difference.Code:gunzip docmgr-1.0.tar.gz gzip: docmgr-1.0.tar.gz: not in gzip format
I think the compressed file is corrupted or something, because when I do
I getCode:file docmgr-1.0.tar.gz
Usually the file command on a .gz file should tell you that is a gzip compressed data, from Unix, etc.Code:docmgr-1.0.tar.gz: data
Any ideas, please?
Many thanksOne Love!!!

I downloaded the file again using Firefox and it worked fine.

I think you are correct in that the file may be corrupt, that the download failed. Try downloading again, and verifying the checksum, if one is provided (they usually are on sourceforge).
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
