hello,
I just installed psacct with yum on centos 5
and I can not get lastcomm to work
or it works but I do not know how to use it.

please check commands below and text in red is my issue (no output)
if you can point me to the thread who deals with such thing.
I was not able to find the answer linuxforums and google was not much help.

[root]# ls -l /var/account/pacct
-rw------- 1 root root 0 Mar 13 13:11 /var/account/pacct
what permissions should be on that log file?

[root]# /etc/init.d/psacct restart
Shutting down process accounting: [ OK ]
Starting process accounting: [ OK ]

[root]# ac -d
Mar 11 total 7.87
Mar 12 total 17.48
Mar 13 total 11.79
Mar 14 total 5.97
Today total 0.44

[root]# lastcomm root
[root]# lastcomm ls
[root]# lastcomm grep
[root]# lastcomm admin


[root]# yum list installed | grep psacct
psacct.i386 6.3.2-44.el5 installed

[root]# cat /etc/*release*
CentOS release 5.5 (Final)
