mplayer - hooking to main unix tools
After much ado, I finally got mplayer to work (why a rebuild fixed it is beyond me, but it did).
Anyway, from the command line I can invoke and play a movie. YEA!
However the fedora file browser tool has an option to use mplayer too (not default which fails needing a plugin), but it does nothing.
Finally I would like it to work with firefox.
Does anyone know how to reconfigure either of these tools to use the /local/bin/xmplayer or /local/bin/mplayer that I just built? How do I get under the skins and see what is configured NOW? Note that when all works, I need to also make this the default tool.
