    Can't boot Fedora 14

I Installed Fedora 14 about 2 weeks ago and was just settling into using it more or les permanantly and had to turn of the power to do some maintenanace. When I rebooted I got the grub> prompt
As I have already shut down and rebooted several times over the last couple of weeks, I could not se why this happened, so I rebooted and stiull got the same problem.
    Things I have tried:
    grub > root
(hd1,0): Filesystem type is reiserfs, partition type 0xa5

    find /grub/stage1
    Error 15: file not found

    find /boot/grub/stage1
    Error 15: File not found

    boot
Error 8: Kernel must be loaded before booting

    find /grub/grub.conf
    Error 15: file not found

    setup (hd1)
    Checking if "/boot/grub/stage1" exists... no
    Checking if "/grub/stage1" exists... no

All of the above are things I have found exploring the internet

Any help would be much appreciated before I toss out yet another Linux distro.

I am currently using a 64 bit ASUS P75P55-M motherboard

    Thanking you in advance

You can try booting your live cd and do a file system check using gparted running as a live session on your installed partition of Fedora since

had to turn of the poer to do some maintenanace
Improper shutdown can corrupt a Linux File system sometimes. It is easy to do with any Linux Live CD. Just make sure the partition is unmounted before doing the file system check to keep from damaging the partition even more,
