Can you tell us your machine specs? CPU, RAM?
Did you compile a kernel yourself? Did you check the md5sums of the download?

    Question

Thanks for replying, Sorry I'm newbie to linux/ Redhat.I have allocated 512mb of Ram on the virtual box and my CPU is:

    version: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz
    slot: CPU
    size: 2401MHz
    capacity: 2401MHz
    width: 64 bits
    clock: 1066MHz

No I didn't compile the Kernel by myself and no I did not check the MD5 sums of the download. How do you check MD5 sums of the download and why?

Specs sound good to me. Check this link to understand why and what md5sums are.

I have solved the problem. It was that On virtual box I have chosen the 32 bit version name of Red Hat linux. So I had to recreate the OS with the right specification.

    Cheers
