    Thanks , but what else?

I get a 'FAILED' status while booting or shutting down Linux. If nothing is muted, what other things should I check? Btw, that reply was WOW! I didn't expect such a helpful place on the net! Thx budd.

All configured and still having a problem!!!!
Get this message when I select Soundcard Detection from the menu :
    Vendor : Intel corp.
    Model : 82801EB AC'97 Audio
    Module : snd-intel8x0

Doesn't play any sound. Anybody who can help me out here? So close! Configured my computer to connect to the internet via a cable modem. Works just fine. But ActiveX doesn't work. Thoughts to download activex for mozilla?

Installation successful. But still no audio!

After manually configuring and having some success, this is where I am stuck!

    [root@localhost root]# redhat-config-soundcard
sox: Can't open output file '/dev/dsp': No such device
    -9

Can anybody help me out here??
