    Installing shockwave?


    I am running Fadora 9 on my new 64 bit system and I need to install shockwave so I can veiw graphics in my e-mail and such. Any help would be great..

    There is no Fedora 9... The latest version of Fedora Core is Fedora Core 3 which was releases a few weeks ago.
    You're looking for the flash plugin, which can be downloaded from Macromedia's website.

    Flashplayer

    Thanks for the correction. I have dowloaded the file from Macromidea. I now need to know how to go about installing or loading it so it will work. Like I said, I am very new at this OS. What would be nice is a step by step guide to kind of walk through. I tryed doing it in terminal mode with the linuxs install command.(forgot it) So, again, any help would be great!

    If you are using an updated version of Firefox (and you should be, I think on FC3), it will download and install the plugin for you when it needs it. Flash is availible, but as of yet there is no shockwave.

    Firefox would not automaticaly download it for me, but it did take me to the site when I selected manual install.
    The site included the step-by-step instructions on how to install.

    Shockwave

    I am running Fadoras 64 bit os. I am also using "Ximian Evolution" for e-mail. I also want to learn how to install thurd party and downloaded programs. You all must love people like me, ha?
