Why am i getting this error
Hello all.....i have RedHat 6.2. I am trying to install it using Oracle virtualbox but i keep getting the following problem

why is this happening and how do i stop it
Also can someone give me the steps to install this OS (like a fresh install/booting from cd)...just so i'm not doing any wrong

Hello and Welcome.
I'm not certain why you are getting the error but it's the Anaconda installer that's crashing, it could be a bug. Any reason why you're using RH6? It's very old and unsupported.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

yeah i know it's pretty old...and maybe the reason for the error....but i must use this version 6x

Try 6.4 or something else, it might work better. Did you verify the downloaded iso with md5sum check?

A bad download can cause all kinds of foolishness in all kinds of different ways. It's always a good idea to check your downloads.

I tried installing vmware but i get a grayed out box that stay that way forever....futher i don't believe it would've mad a difference since i found out that REDhat 6.2 dosen't work with Pentium 4 or newer AMD processors.....now to respond to Miketbob the iso checkout with md5sum.
Anyway, so i installed redhat 7.0 now my issue is when i boot up i am going into command line, how do i get out and into a Graphical User interface where i can actually c my desktop?

Did you to the installer to install the desktop? Try log in and type
