    Rdesktop from RHEL 5 to vista Home Basic

    Hi everyone ,

    I want to get remote desktop from RHEL5 to Vista home basic

    I tried it with rdesktop 4 , 5 , 6 but non of them seem to work

    it says autoselected keyboard man en-us
    connection refused...


    Wht might be the problem??

    please guide me...

    Use VNC. You start a VNC server on the Vista system (preferable with access password). It runs as a service, waiting for a connection from a client. You can then access the desktop (remote control) from RHEL with the VNC client that you can install on RHEL. You can also install VNC server on your RHEL systems so you can access them from Windows as well. I use this all the time for remote diagnostics on client systems. The VNC server on the Windows machine is very resource conservative, and doesn't cause any system performance degradation.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
