Multi-media Installation Scientific Linux 6

Hello again!

I was trying to play some mp3s and mp4s in my totem but keep on getting this error report of which I have attached some screenshots.

I also tried to download some things that I usually put on my system such as: vlc, ffmpeg, dvdbackup, dvdrip, audacity, thoggen, handbrake, audacious & sound converter but I fail in the process.

I was able to download and install some things but when I played some mp3s and videos on totem, I still get the same error message.

I also looked into rpmforge but it says something like wait for CentOS 6 and RHEL 6.
So since I'm using SC6 should I also wait for the official repo?

By the way, I just noticed that SC6 has been officially given a "home" in LF. That's good news for me.

Have you installed the optional repos, such as epel and atrpms? The libdvdcss package is in the atrpms repo. There are links to download and install them on the SL web site.

So, you are still getting these errors after installing the required stuff? If so, try another media player. I use VLC without any problems whatsoever. I use that for all audio playback.
