    Hi Everyone.
    This is my first message. My problem is the items in my places menu, in the gnome panal, link to my appearance preferances. I tried deleting the panal and reinstalling it, but no change. Any help would be appreciated.

    So, you are saying that if you single-click on the Places menu, you get your appearance preferences? How are you trying to add the menu back to the panel? Please elaborate on the steps you are taking.
