I feel your struggle with language. You will hopefully get some rpm users to answer your daydream.

Hello and welcome to the forums!

You can install an X server such as Xorg without having to install KDE or Gnome, and there are other desktop environments and plenty of window managers that can be used for managing your X windows (check the first link provided above by roky for a listing of them).oz
