[SOLVED] I get blank screen installing Scientific Linux 6
Excuses if it's a wrong forum to post it.
I install SL 6 on a laptop from CD, I choose Install from a menu, after that I get bunch of messages and then blank screen. I know I will have problems with the Intel card but I should be able to have a GUI with minimum resolution.
Could you help me with this, please.

Well, I have run SL6 (yes, this is the correct forum - any Red Hat distribution or clone issue) on a number of different machines (including laptops) without problems. Did the LiveCD/DVD work on your machine? If so, what is your video hardware? What is your laptop make/model/version?

Also, you can go to the SL website's mailing list and post your question there. There are a lot of experts to help you (you will need to create an account first): Archives of SCIENTIFIC-LINUX-USERS@LISTSERV.FNAL.GOV
