New Install on my Dell Laptop.
I just bought a Dell Latitude E6410. At the moment it has Windows XP but none of the drivers are installed, including the Ethernet controller necessary for accessing the internet.
I would like to erase Windows and use the Dell exclusively for Linux. Either one version or two, I will continue to seek the advice of others familiar with Linux to ultimately decide that question, but the real purpose of this thread is to find out how to install Fedora 14 on my Dell Laptop?
I have no files to save. I only need to format my hard disk and install the operating system, as far as I know. I need help learning to do this so that when I am done I will have the necessary drivers to operate the laptop.
Can someone please help me?

Hello and Welcome.
All you need to do is download Fedora 14 and burn it to disk, reboot the machine and set the BIOS to boot from CD/DVD drive first. Follow the installer and you'll be up and running in no time. You probably won't need any extra drivers for Linux except for Wireless card and Video card.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Sorry mike if I replied to the wrong place earlier, I replied from my phone and didn't see the last part of your post about not sending private messages. I am downloading an .iso file of fedora 14. I hope my computer will boot an image.
I will post the results.
